• Introduction

  I am a small Chrysanthemum Plate. I was granted a magical spell that left me in a state of immortality. Where most of my plant genus is either annual or perennial, I never wilt. As my species come and go when the seasons change, I continue to remain just the same, a beautiful porcelain flower to make your home a place of delight!

    

• Curator's Notes 

   

  Handcrafted in porcelain, this decorative plate has the texture of chrysanthemum petals on the interior to contrast with its smooth exterior. Striking as both a decor item, tray or serving plate, they look great against warm wood surfaces. I like to use this particular plate for mints on my desk.

  • The kiln makes porcelain pieces for daily life with its traditional white porcelain techniques using Amakusa Touseki (porcelain stone)
