Tendo Mokko designed the Hole Chair to be comfortable to sit in for extended periods of time, such as in a classroom. The legs, back and seat consist of pieces of bent white beech, which has been compressed and molded to strengthen and harden wood while keeping the chair thin and light. The chair features an upholstered seat made of high performance vinyl leather, which is antifouling, water-resistant and migration-resistant. Not only does the round hole in the back play with the space around it, it also functions as a handle for moving and stacking the chair for storage.
