I am Anagama No.16 Ashen Amber Stone Vase. With a crown of ash and a splash of orange, I’m here to rock the look. Layers, texture, and a little amber dot—solid as a stone, but never boring.
Keisuke Iwata’s signature Stone Vases are always captivating, but his Anagama stone vases take things to another level. Anagama No. 16 – Ashen Amber Stone Vase is a perfect example, with its layers of texture and color that bring the piece to life. What makes this particular vase so special are the soft pink, amber dots, and orange hues, all crowned by a crusty ashen cap that gives it incredible character. Iwata-san explained that this piece was placed near the bottom tier of the Anagama kiln, allowing pine wood ash to naturally settle on it, creating that distinctive cap. The result is a piece that feels alive with texture, history, and the magic of the firing process.
