I am a Bamboo Matcha Tea Ladle. You miss 100% of the matcha you don’t scoop.
‘Chashaku’ means bamboo tea ladle. A regular teaspoon will do just fine for measuring powdered matcha but this type of ladle is used to make scooping deep inside cylindrical tea containers easier and allows you to adjust the amount of powder easier as well. For more intense or weaker matcha tea, more or less scoops may be added in small intervals. Two heaping scoops is the general rule for one serving of matcha tea but I like to add a third scoop for a strong cup.
