I am a Book Stand. My greatest trick is making myself disappear. The book gets all the attention, and I do all the heavy lifting.
What I find so clever about this Book Stand is how it almost disappears. Viewed from the side, all you really see is the book itself, standing upright as though it needs no support at all. It's only when you walk around it that you discover the slim leather structure doing all the work.
I particularly like this idea of giving a favorite book its own little place on a shelf or desk, whether it's a beautiful art book, a well-loved novel, or something you're currently reading. The stand does its job without competing with what's on display, and the natural leather will gradually darken and develop its own character over time. Such a simple idea, but wonderfully considered.
