I am a Brass Chashaku Tea Scoop. I'm a whisper of brass, adept at pouring, scooping tea, and coaxing stubborn leaves from the teapot strainer. A multitasking marvel in the realm of tea infusion.
This piece feels like a harmonious fusion of two other works by Mitsuhiro Konishi: the Wood Sprout Tea Ladles and the Brass Tea Needles. Effortlessly blending form and function, it skillfully handles tea leaves and matcha powder, delicately unclogging teapot strainers with its needle end. Each hand-hammered piece exudes a nostalgic charm, reminiscent of bygone tea shops, with its individual allure captured in the diverse shapes of their heads. Beyond its tea-centric origins, this piece transforms into a versatile kitchen implement, integrating into daily use as a muddler or cocktail stirrer, infusing life with its timeless appeal.
