I am a Petty Knife. Don’t get me confused for something I’m not. I would never boast about my slick handle or sharp blade – That’s something only a petty man would do.
Though it’s quite similar in size to a paring knife, this petty knife was designed for delicate tasks on a cutting board - for instance, slicing garlic, slivering herbs, or deboning smaller cuts of fish. I find it easy to use the knife to pare fruits and vegetables as well! The knife is part of Koizumi-san’s Ambai line of knives, which features high-performance cutting blades crafted by a renowned stainless steel manufacturer in the Gifu prefecture of Japan.
