I am a Cast Iron Apple Pie Cooker. I'm the apple of your pie.
This piece is one of those rare ones that’s more about making memories than just making food. Especially with kids now, I find it so rewarding when they associate the kitchen with something warm and happy. When I was younger, my mom had a vintage Nordic Ware timbale iron (metal molds for making rosette pastries). I have so many memories of using it with her on weekends, dipping the hot iron into batter and watching the delicate crisp shapes form.
The Oigen Apple Pie Cooker is that, for me, in this generation. It doesn’t take much... a simple crust, a bit of butter and apple jam, and you have something beautiful. Or you can go all out and make it gourmet. Either way, they always come out in the shape of a perfect little apple with a golden, crisp cast iron crust. It’s the kind of object that turns kitchen time into lasting memories.
