  I am a Cherry Bark Tea Box with Tray. I carry your tea essentials and set the scene, wherever your next cup decides to happen.

   

• Curator's Notes 

  In my ideal world I would host casual tea gatherings wherever life happens, and this is the piece I would bring with me. At the gallery, at home, even outdoors. It holds enough for a small teapot, a few cups, cloths, or a full matcha setup. It makes the idea of tea time feel portable, intimate, and completely within reach.

  I also love when design merges two functions seamlessly in a way that feels natural rather than gimmicky. The box and tray fit together as one, or the tray can be lifted off and used on its own. It is a container, but it is also a stage. The polish on the cherry bark catches light in a way that elevates whatever you place inside, making it feel presented rather than stored.

  • The highest grade cherry bark, renewably sourced from the mountains of Northern Japan, is used 
    
  • Multiple layers of bark are prepared using traditional techniques and dried for two years to ensure durability
    
  • Each sheet of cherry bark is finely whittled and refined by the hands of expert craftsmen
    
  • When closed, interior space holds contents of up to approximately 7.5" (w) x 11.0" (l) x 4.4" (h) or 191mm (w) x 279mm (l) x 111mm (h)
