I am a Coffee Case. The morning begins when my lid lifts and ends when the cup is empty.
We remember showcasing the Coffee Case at our very first exhibition with Ryuji Mitani, and it remains one of his most memorable pieces. Every part of it feels perfected from the snug-fitting lid to the hidden inner cover that keeps coffee grounds or beans extra fresh.
Scooping from it each morning turns the simple act of making coffee into a special moment. The wood grain, rich and warm, shifts subtly with time, reflecting the many mornings it’s been part of. It’s a design that reminds us that even the most familiar routines can hold meaning when shaped with care.
