I am Debbie, a Denim Ojami cushion. I’m not lazy but I like to lounge. On a bed, sofa, chair or the ground. I’m handmade in Kyoto with American denim - a nod to my origins, there's no way I'd forget 'em!
We’ve collaborated with renowned Kyoto based futon specialists, Takaokaya, for a special edition series of “Ojami” pillows with denim taking center stage. Based on the four-panel shape of traditional Japanese bean bags, the “Ojami” can be used as a floor cushion or throw pillow. A cheerful and charming accent for any room in the home! Since 1919, Takaokaya has been devoted to producing the finest futons and zabutons in the Japanese market. The company is rooted in the tradition of Kyoto based textile crafts and we believe that by blending an American heritage material like denim, with Japanese craftsmanship, we can create a harmonious blend of the two cultures that is also a representation of this unique collaboration.
