  This piece combines some of our favorite things - boxes, wood joinery, and the work of Makoto Koizumi - into one neat package! Its low profile is great for tabletops short on space. Made from Hinoki Cypress, one of the “Five Sacred Trees of Kiso,” the wood is light and fragrant, and prized for its durability and water-repellent qualities. I love that the interior has a divider for keeping the contents organized. It looks wonderful as a cutlery box on your kitchen table, but also works for stationary and other tools.
