  Makoto Koizumi’s hanging hinoki wood display shelf is a modern interpretation of a timeless tradition, a Kamidana altar. Designed with a deep respect for Shinto practices, this shelf serves as a serene space to hold prayers, blessings, and sacred objects. Its slim groove is perfect for displaying paper amulets or o-fuda, offering a subtle nod to its cultural roots. However, Koizumi’s vision extends beyond a single tradition. The shelf's contemporary design is versatile enough to harmonize with any spiritual practice.
