I am a Hollie Children's Chair. At first glance, I might come across as being very stiff, but I’m actually quite easygoing and flexible. I’m not one to get bent out of shape to accommodate you.
British designer Alex MacDonald draws on Tendo Mokko’s expertise in bent plywood to create a versatile chair that keeps up with the little movers and shakers at home. Named after his own daughter, the Hollie Chair is a lightweight yet sturdy seat that showcases the warmth and beauty of white beech plywood. The backrest, seat and front legs are made from one continuous piece of plywood, and the use of molded plywood technology ensures that no metal fittings are needed to create a stable and strong form. Weighing in at 1.7 kg, the chair can easily be moved by children and conveniently stacks away for storage. Built to fit children from 2-8 years old, the Hollie Chair is designed to see a child through some of their most crucial stages of growth.
