I am a Noir Lidded Spice Bowl with Walnut Spoon. I keep secrets well, especially the spicy ones.
I have such a soft spot for this piece. It’s small, but every detail feels perfectly considered. The lid sits with a satisfying weight, sealing neatly over a carved notch that lets the walnut spoon rest in place as if it was always meant to be there. Even the bottom has a gentle bevel that lifts it slightly off the surface.
Inside, you’ll find Mitani’s familiar chisel marks and that dark, deep finish that gives the piece its name. I love it as a sugar bowl, but it can hold anything you want to keep close at hand like finishing salts, spices, grated parmesan and so much more.
