I am an Oribe Drinking Vessel. As you can see, I'm quite down-to-earth, as well as down for tea at any hour.
Oribe ware has a rich history in Japanese culture, dating back to the 16th century. It differs from Chinese Celadon due to its deep, rich color that is closer to hunter green or forest green than the pale sea foam of celadon. Within the natural variations of texture, wonderful scenes of nature emerge and dissolve - mountains and hills, lakes and streams… all existing within the mysterious green glaze of this Oribe Drinking Vessel. This cup is the perfect size to enjoy a variety of Japanese and Chinese teas or can be used as an espresso cup.
