I am a Painted House with Magnetic Object - #6. While there may be a lot of waste generated in the world, I don't think we can paint them all in a broad stroke. I prefer to use short and thick ones to give them a fresh coat.
We are struck by the depth of the color palette built from layers upon layers of paint in Michiko Iwata's Painted House. Her thick application of paint creates a matte texture that adds warmth to her subdued yet sophisticated color palette, as well as a presence that feels well loved and lived-in. The house is meticulously constructed out of found materials from things used in day-to-day life, further driving in the idea that the things we frequently use and keep close by make up such a big part of home.
