  I am a Pipe S-Hook Set. I know my curves look good, but it's my hard, brass body that is really off the hook.

   

• Curator's Notes

   

  The S-Shaped Hook was already quite an intelligent design, with a simple shape that stores objects easily within reach. Matureware improves upon the hook by closing the loop on one end so that it can be thread through and hung more securely on a rod. The hardware is made of sand-casted solid brass that will develop a rich patina with use and time. These hooks are an ideal accessory to the Pipe and Bracket Set (Large or Small) or the Paper Holder Shelf Brackets, adding more storage capacity for items that are frequently used and constantly in rotation.

  • Ring can be slid through a rod and stays put to prevent hooks from falling off
  • Brass products gradually change color over the course of many years due to oxidation
  • A caramel colored patina is expected to develop within 5 years
  • A russet brown colored patina is expected to develop at approximately 30 years
