• Curator's Notes 

   

  The details like the rolled edge on the angular handle make this pitcher look like modern enamelware but it is actually ceramic, which gives it much more warmth. The stark white glaze is a matte finish that absorbs shadows beautifully, especially where the contour of the vessel meets the spout. All the shapes that intersect such as the circular base that seamlessly flows into a teardrop shaped opening are mesmerizing. Use it for cold water, fresh juice or iced coffee in the morning.
