  I am a Raised Plate. My upbringing was wonderful. I was very well raised.

  What an elegant piece but I have to say, a raised plate like this is generally used at restaurants or upscale dining. Its not often we eat like this on a daily basis at home so I primarily use it during parties as a cake stand more than anything. The stark white porcelain glaze is as matte as you can get so it doesn’t take away from what's displayed and because its elevated, there is more emphasis on whatever you place on top. It really is ideal for cakes, pies or a sharing dish.
