  I've seen many ceramic coffee drippers in my life, and still I gasped out loud when I saw this one. That may seem like a dramatic reaction, but the works of Masanobu Ando have that effect. Shapes, textures, and hues draw influence from various facets of nature for a presence that is deeply emotive. The silver glaze glows and darkens as you turn the piece, and the ridges of the inside taper down to form an opening in the shape of a very lovable little star. The fact that it's a functional tool essential for the creation of a great cup of coffee adds to this object's universal beauty.
