I am a Silver Teapot. I can always squiggle my way out of hot water.
With it's gleaming copper handle and silver overglaze, this teapot really stands out as a sculptural, almost decorative piece but the beauty is that it is fully functional as a teapot or kettle that can be heated under a flame. We especially have fond memories of this teapot as it is the teapot Masanobu Ando used to perform a tea ceremony demonstration during the exhibition Shaping the Void. A video of it's journey from Japan to the shelves of our gallery in Manhattan can be viewed here.
