I am a Nano Glass Finish Tea Case. You’ll see only the wood grain, but there’s something hidden beneath my surface, preserving every leaf with care.
With so many tea caddies out there, it can be hard to know which to choose. I’m always drawn to pieces that feel warm and natural, and this one offers that, while hiding some remarkable artisinal technology. At first glance, it’s all about the wood. There are beautiful grains fully visible, uninterrupted by lacquer or coatings. But beneath the surface is a nano glass finish, an invisible layer that gives the piece added strength and functionality.
The lid glides on with a smooth, snug fit, keeping tea leaves fresh and aromatic. It’s especially great for teas with strong scents since the nano finish makes the interior easy to wash with soap and water, much like urushi lacquerware but without the gloss. It feels at once analog and futuristic — a humble wooden container elevated by a bit of science you’ll never see, but will absolutely appreciate each time you use it.
