  I am a Thin Dish. A heavy wooden base and carved walls make me especially neat for all the salads you'll eat.

   

• Curator's Notes 

   

  The silhouette of this dish is especially elegant because of the heavy base that flows up into shallow walls. It is an understated design that showcases the careful placement of the wood grain that looks like the ripples of water. The rim catches food and gives leverage for scooping foods like pasta. Both the underside and upper surfaces are covered in small hand-carved grooves devising a mesmerizing dance of highlights and shadows.
