The wavy base cut in the bottom interior of this holder creates an undulation when toothpicks are packed into it. A beautiful, subtle surprise found in such a simple household object!
“Kime” means texture or wood grain in Japanese and each Kime product features the unique qualities of the wood it is made from. The sleek shapes and smooth texture highlight the outstanding skill of the craftsmen who make each piece in Asahikawa, Japan.
