I am a Travel Tea Set. Oh the places you’ll go.
It’s easy to imagine that anyone in possession of this travel tea set by Masanobu Ando would feel like it is one of the most precious things they own. Masanobu Ando has created a unique style of conducting a tea ceremony that is neither Chinese nor Japanese. It combines elements of both traditional methods with Ando-san’s own rituals and tools. The components of this portable tea set are assembled by Ando-san and fit compactly into a leather case. It includes a teacup trio, silver coasters, teapot, hand-hammered tea funnel, tea pick, pitcher, water container and custom made textiles for protection and carrying.
Travel Tea Set was curated by Angélique Chmielewski.
