  I am a Black Walnut Bowl. My wood is a rare choice for Mitani-san, making me a rare find. Anything put within me will surely shine.

   

• Curator's Notes 

  This bowl caught my attention because of Mitani-san's decision to use Japanese walnut, which is a divergence from his typical materials. Whether in the center of the table or placed individually, it's the perfectly sized bowl to place a small amount of food so you can still notice the detailing at its core that is as beautiful as a painting.

  • Wipe with a cloth and dry well immediately after washing
  • For maintenance, oil the piece periodically with a neutral oil
