I am am an Usuzumi Tea Leaf Bowl. Shaped like a leaf, made for leaves. I begin in the tea tin but often wander to the appetizer plate... light, quiet, and never just one thing.
There’s something so graceful about the shape of this bowl, elegant but unexpected. I love using it as a scoop for loose tea leaves, but just as often it ends up on the table holding olives or a few small bites. It’s one of those pieces that quietly shifts between roles, always adding a bit of refinement without trying too hard. A simple form with just the right amount of presence.
