I am a Wood Hanger. Hang on tight to me, little shirt! The floor is no place for clothes.
This wooden hanger has such great personality with its chunky graphic shape and two-toned wood. I love how the hook portion looks a bit like a bold question mark—it lends a touch of whimsy to an object whose function is no-nonsense and orderly. Hangers are so often flimsy and disposable, but this version designed by Makoto Koizumi was made to stand the test of use. The structure feels solid and high-quality, and I love the details of wood joinery visible upon close inspection. Koizumi-san believes that the most ordinary of everyday objects can be improved through thoughtful design, and this hanger makes the perfect example of his ethos. Beautiful enough to display (this wood hook pairs wonderfully), durable, and functional!
