Kamenoko Tawashi brushes have been popular in Japan for over a century and have since spread across the world. Invented by Seizaemon Nishio in 1907, they continue to be made with the same raw material - woven palm fibers. Known for their durability, these brushes have become household staples for the cleaning of everything from dishes to tiles and have even been made into body brushes. Nishio named the company after his son's turtle because he thought it looked like his scrubber and turtles symbolizes good fortune (Kame: turtle, no: of, ko: child, tawashi: scrubber). Each product continues to have the turtle watermark.
