  • Curator's Notes

Nambu tekki cast iron is renown for use as cookware because of its superior heat retention and versatility. Produced in Iwate, these two handled pans are suitable for an oven or induction range, along with over the grill for an oven-to-table convenience. In Japan, these particular pans are often used to cook various sukiyaki dishes that require being left in the oven for long periods of time, but we use them in our home for anything from bacon and eggs to cornbread. They are available in three different sizes and stack within each other for ease of storage.
