  This version of Mitani's Wooden Incense Case feels especially rich in black walnut. The grain glows softly under light, and the tone deepens beautifully with use. Like the original, the lid doubles as a stand. Just flip it over, and you have an instant holder for burning stick incense.

  I like that it carries everything needed for the ritual in one simple piece. There’s space to store incense neatly inside, and when it’s time to light one, the same case transforms into the setting. It’s understated, functional, and beautiful.
