  I am a Hand Painted Porcelain Dinner Plate. I’ve got a lot on my plate but I always stop to smell the flowers.

   

• Curator's Notes

   

  Husband and wife potters, Momoko and Tetsuya Otani each have their own respective lines but since we were having a joint exhibition with the couple, we thought it'd be appropriate to create something that involved the both of them. The results born out of this rare collaboration are exactly how we envisioned the blend of their specialty techniques coming together - the precise nature of Tetsuya's wheel thrown works with Momoko's intricate hand painted lotus flower motifs in indigo blue.
