I am a Sake Warmer. For a toast as warm as toast!
When sake is served warm, it holds an entirely different flavor profile. Deeper notes unfold as the heat enhances the aroma and adds coziness in the colder months. This piece by Simplicity is based off the Japanese "chirori", a metal vessel used for the purpose of warming sake. After placing the copper pitcher filled with sake in its compartment, simply set a candle in the rear opening to heat up the sake with the warmth of the flame. Filling the vessel with water will help the sake heat up evenly and keep it warm even after the candle goes out. The rattan-wrapped handle of the sake warmer detaches for compact storage and the copper sake carafe is lined in tin for greater functionality.
