Simplicity is a design studio based on the lifestyle vision of designer Shinichiro Ogata. The designer’s philosophy is to bring Japanese culture and traditions like ikebana, tea ceremony and kaiseki to today's audience. By taking Japanese conventions and bringing them to our current times, Ogata has achieved the success of many concept spaces including the renowned kaiseki restaurant Yakumo Saryo and the wagashi shop, Higashiya. Simplicity’s collection brings everyday goods into the home, allowing many to experience the deep joy of age-old traditions and rituals in their contemporary lifestyles.
