  This recent iteration of the original Hanging Sculpture Vase has subtle differences in its silver overglaze. The two shimmering tones of silver catch light in various ways, giving the piece a dynamic personality as it hangs on a wall. Masanobu Ando's artistic journey and practice in ikebana converge in crafting this hanging wall vase. Unlike conventional vases, it boasts a bold block-like silhouette with a hand-painted silver glaze, reminiscent of Brutalist sculptures.   • One-of-a-kind functional sculpture handmade by Masanobu Ando in Tajimi, Japan
  • Built from slabs of clay with Japanese "tatara" technique
  • Can be hung on the wall on a hook or nail or laid flat as a sculpture
  • Square hole is on the back top of the piece for hanging
  • Flowers and water are contained through a small opening carved out in the piece
  • Silver overglaze will develop a natural patina over time 
  • Hand wash only with mild soap and soft sponge 
  • Dry with soft cloth after washing
