  Crafted with care and creativity, this stunning piece is more than just a warmer—it's a work of sculptural art. With its silver overglaze destined to evolve beautifully over time, and a quiant glass oil lamp burner nestled inside, it's perfect for keeping your teapot or coffee pot warm during intimate moments—a special tea or a small casual gathering with loved ones. Its handcrafted old-world charm is evident in its irregular edges, a testament to the artistry behind each piece. It also brings back fond memories of Ando-san's tea ceremony at our gallery exhibition "Shaping the Void," reminding us of his unique philosophy and his ability to blend different worlds, breaking the mold to create his own special way of preparing tea. With its level top surface, the warmer can be paired with a variety of teapots, including the Small Silver Teapot and Silver Teapot.

  • Handcrafted in Tajimi, Japan
  • Includes a glass oil lamp burner with a cap and wick
  • Features Masanobu Ando's signature stamp on the bottom of the warmer
  • The warmer has a decorative cutout on the wall that can be used to gauge the level of oil remaining in the oil lamp or to relight the flame
  • Can be used without a teapot as an oil burning lamp for ambient light
  • Top surface has three prongs that help to hold a variety of teapots in place and keep them level

  • Interior and exterior is silver overglazed
  • Silver overglaze will patina to develop a black matter over time
  • The blackish patina is harmless and is a sulfide film that occurs when silver combines with hydrogen sulfide in the air
  • The pot can be polished to remove the patina with toothpaste or baking soda and a damp cloth
  • Hand wash
  • Wipe with a cloth and dry well after use
