The simple and functional tableware crafted by Takahashi Kougei are made with wood originating in the mountains of Hokkaido, Japan. The creation of these articles serves as the link between nature and people. The forests are sustainably harvested in Hokkaido, so the number of pieces produced is limited at any given period. The wood items are designed to have a soothing effect – soft, warm and comfortable to touch – and blend seamlessly into a contemporary lifestyle.
