Norio Tanno and Masakage Tanno are a father and son duo from Asahikawa, Japan. Masakage, the son, learned his skills in woodworking from his father and continues to make wooden products that maintain the traditions of their family. The two continually push the boundaries of wood with their exceptionally detailed all-wood cases with innovative closing mechanisms such as the one push “Free Case,” by Masakage, and the multilayered “Tea Case,” by Norio.
