Hatashikki is a family-run business that was founded in Ishikawa by Unomatsu Hata in 1930. Since then, the company has been passed down to Hata Manabu and continues to grow while maintaining their original handcraft wood and urushi lacquer techniques in tact. They now collaborate with well-known Japanese designers such as Mute Studio to combine traditional Japanese craftwork with modern shapes and color.
