We're always inspired by husband and wife teams and the potential that arises from a closely shared labour of love. Studio Prepa exudes such intimacy in their intricate, handmade glassware. Run by Katsuhisa and Mizuho Hira, the independent studio creates small-batch pieces that allow them to work collaboratively. The couple designs with a refreshing lack of preciousness to allow for experiments to naturally occur within the materials. The resulting pieces prominently feature unique textures and shapes that celebrate the imperfections and unpredictability of glasswork.
