Crafting luminescense

Born in 1980 in Saga Prefecture, Hirotaka Tobimatsu is a Tokyo-based ceramic artist, specializing in porcelain lighting. Inspired by the nostalgic glow of milk glass lanterns from bygone eras, his brand, Tobimatsu Toki, is infused with creations with timeless allure. Graduating from Tama Art University's Ceramics Program, he mastered the art of porcelain casting, reviving and evolving this ancient tradition. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of form, Tobimatsu's work bridges the gap between past and present, illuminating spaces with gentle elegance.
