After apprenticing with several woodworking masters, designer Iba Takahito founded Ibazen on the idea of crafting furniture with the greatest attention to quality. His use of exclusively Hokkaido lumber found locally near the Ibazen workshop and special "fuki-urushi" lacquering, highlights a devotion to classical Japanese woodworking techniques. The results are wood objects saturated in rich colour and texture destined to become heirlooms.
